Principle of operation
The gimbal bimetal thermometer is an industrial bimetal thermometer, and the main component is a multi-layer metal sheet composed of two or more metal sheets stacked together. In order to improve the sensitivity of temperature measurement, an instrument that can automatically and continuously record changes is usually made into a spiral coil shape. When the temperature of the multi-layer metal sheet changes, the individual layers of metal expand or contract by different amounts, causing the spiral to roll up or loosen. Because one end of the spiral coil is fixed and the other end is connected to a hand that can rotate freely, the two metals will bend by different amounts of volume when the temperature changes. One end is fixed, and the other end is displaced with the change of temperature, and the displacement is close to linear with the air temperature. The self-recording system consists of a self-recording clock, a self-recording pen, which is connected to a magnifying lever and manipulated by an inductive element, so that when the bimetal feels a temperature change, the pointer indicates the temperature on a circular indexing scale. This thermometer is used similarly to a rod-shaped glass-liquid thermometer, but can be used in conditions where strength is required.

The scale plate is an aluminum oxide printing plate, with a clear surface and beautiful style. The hands are internally adjustable. Bimetal thermometers are available in axial, radial, and universal head models. Bimetal thermometer probe lengths can be customized according to customer needs.
