Overview

Q96-ZCO Q72-ZCO Q144-ZCO Ammeter DC is an instrument used to measure the strength of the current in a DC circuit. When a large current needs to be measured, a low resistance with a certain resistance value can be connected in parallel with the two input ends to expand the range. The zero point of its scale is generally placed on the far left of the dial. The selection of the commonly used DC ammeter is the same as that of the DC voltmeter. If a shunt is used, the shunt must be used together with the ammeter. The wiring of the DC ammeter is polar, and the positive pole of the power supply (the pole from which the current flows) must be connected to the + terminal of the ammeter, and the – terminal of the ammeter must be connected to the negative pole of the power supply (the pole where the current flows). When the polarity of the DC meter is not clear, the DC voltage regulator can be used to reduce the voltage and current and temporarily connect it. When the pointer is in the correct direction, the wiring is correct. When the direction is opposite, the positive and negative electrodes (﹢, ﹣) can be reversed and connected. The DC ammeter mainly uses the magnetoelectric system or the electrodynamic system measurement mechanism. The basic measurement of these measurement mechanisms is current, which can be used to directly measure small currents. For large values of DC current, the magnetoelectric measuring mechanism uses a shunt, that is, a parallel resistor.

The role of the DC ammeter is to shunt most of the current being measured. For currents below about 10A, the built-in shunt is often used; for larger current values, a dedicated shunt is used.

A four-terminal structure is adopted, with two current terminals and two potential terminals. The selection conditions for the resistance value are: when the nominal current passes through the shunt, the voltage between the potential terminals is 45mV or 75mV; the voltage value is measured with a magnetoelectric millivoltmeter with a range of 45mV or 75mV, and the dial is on the dial. It is scaled by the current value.

     2.5 means that the accuracy of the meter is 2.5.

     A means that the meter is an ammeter.

     Before use, you should check whether the pointer is aligned with the zero point. If there is any deviation, you need to use the zero point adjuster to adjust the pointer to the zero position. When adjusting, you only need to rotate the zero point adjustment knob in the middle of the front of the cover.

     Note that under no circumstances should the ammeter be directly connected to the two poles of the battery to avoid burnout.
