Working principle 

The measuring mechanism and Q96-HZC Q72-HZC Q144-HZC Frequency meter is as below. The series resonant circuit composed of fixed coil with iron core, inductor L and capacitor C is usually adjusted to resonate at the middle frequency of the scale (e.g. 50 Hz). The movable part is composed of two coils, in which the moving coil 1 is connected in series with the capacitor C1 and then connected in parallel with the resonant circuit. When the power is connected, the rotating force received by the movable part, I and I1 are the current in the fixed coil and moving coil 1 respectively, θ Is the included angle between two current phasors, and K is the coefficient. The moving coil 2 forms a closed loop with resistor R2 and inductor L2. When the measured frequency is equal to the middle frequency of the scale, the resonance circuit resonates. At this time, the included angle between the current in the fixed coil and the current phasor in the moving coil 1 θ= 90 °, so the torque M = 0. Therefore, under the action of the torque of the moving coil 2, the movable part makes the pointer point to the scale of the intermediate frequency (e.g. 50 Hz) of the scale. When the measured frequency deviates from the intermediate frequency, the resonance condition is destroyed, the rotating torque is no longer zero, and the movable part deflects. Until the rotating torque and resistance torque balance, the movable part will stop at a new position corresponding to the measured frequency. Different frequency ranges can be obtained by changing the parameters of the series resonant circuit.
